Voice Therapy Techniques

esearch the inventors, purpose, and method of two voice therapy techniques: resonant voice therapy (RVT) and Expiratory Muscle Strength Training (EMST) and Inspiratory Muscle Strength Training. 3 current peer reviewed articles per technique need to be used and one peer-reviewed efficacy study that examines the effectiveness of each therapy technique.
Organize your paper into headings and subheading and provide content as follows:

Inventor(s) of the Therapy Technique: Provide the name(s) the inventor(s) of each therapy technique. (0.5 point per technique)

Purpose of Therapy Technique: Describe the purpose of each voice therapy and a vocal pathology/medical diagnosis that would benefit from the technique (1.5 point per technique)

Description of Therapy Technique: Summarize the salient steps of how each of these voice therapy techniques are performed and provide the rationales for each step. Use your own words. (2 points for each technique)

Subsystems of Voice Involvement: State whether each of the three subsystems that support voice (respiration, phonation, resonation) are targeted by the technique, and if so, how? (1.5 point per technique)

Effectiveness of Therapy Technique: Using your peer-reviewed article investigating the efficacy of the technique, state if each study read found each technique to be effective or not and why or why not? (1 point per technique)

Level of Evidence: Using your peer-reviewed article that investigates the efficacy of the voice therapy technique, rate each of the studies for each voice therapy technique according to the levels of evidence based on ASHAs adaptation of the Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network. Include the level and also the study design. (1 point each)
