Video or written tutorial literature reviews in the disciplines (+ read examples provided) Read for today: James Gleick, The Information (excerpt, Into the Meme Pool) (under files) Reading response #4 (due in assignments)

Reading responses will be due the day of, assessed by a rubric (available soon), about 150 words each, and require 2-3 questions to ask of the material (as response is exploration and expansion, not just reception). Ill distribute a rubric that applies to both these and the kairos days (under files and via announcements). On days we have kairos days, I will not double up on a reading response.

Use a particular applied example to continue and/or critique Gleick’s representation of memes

Or, update them (was published in 2011)

Consider how politics have changed/altered/responded to meme culture

Consider and expand on Gleick’s intersections between the human and non-human in this form of media
