Topoi

Instructions: Covering too broad a topic is a common error for beginning speakers. One method of limiting your topic is topoi. First, briefly define topoi and why it is useful for speakers. Then, demonstrate your understanding by creating a detailed two-column document. In the left column, list the general questions you can ask about your general topic. In the right, enter subject-specific questions. You may begin with any topic, but some suggested ones are: Careers; Civil Rights; Privacy; Social Media; Weather.
