Ground Bass: Repeating bass notes’ group that appeared/used through a vocal or instrumental composition.

b. Basso Continuo: A term for two instruments groups (Organ or Harpsichord and Bassoon or Cello) that plays the figured bass part and provide the harmonic foundation (bass) for Baroque Music.

c. Figured Bass, Thoroughbass

– A bass part with numbers and symbols above certain notes indicating the performer which chords should be played on the keyboards.

– This is an important role of the development of Bass (the bottom note and pitch) of chord and a formation of Harmony.
