Social Influence

TOPIC: Social Influence

PURPOSE: This assignment is to assist you all to become familiar with developing the blueprint of your study based on your assigned topic. As a result, you will be able to layout the independent and dependent variables of your study, hypotheses, research question, and the operational/conceptual definitions of your variables of choice.  In order to complete this assignment, you will have to search for existing literature to assist you with finding factors that affect your board topic.

TASK: Review the document in its entirety (Lab Assignment #3- Research Study Blueprint.docPreview the document/ Lab Assignment #3- Research Study Blueprint.pdf). You are to complete every aspect of the assignment. When you complete the assignment and ready to upload, please upload the document should in Word or PDF (preferably). It is suggested that you follow the document and label your sections accordingly, but complete your responses in paragraph form.

Past Group Submission Example: ( Lab Assignment #3 Example.pdf)

Outline example:

Section 1:

Develop two (2) drafted research questions for your selected topic.
Section 2:

List your two (2) independent variables (IVs) and the associated levels?
List your dependent variable (DV)?
Define each variable on a conceptual level (e.g., how will you define social status).
Describe the operational definition (e.g., what observations you could use to decide what social status someone has).
Section 3:

Draft two (2) potential hypotheses
Section 4:

Design a 2 x 2 design matrix
CRITERIA: The assignment is worth a total of 20 points. Each section is broken up by the possible points you are able to earn. Please make sure you are following the criteria on the guidelines.

Criteria
This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeResearch Question Development
Developed two (2) drafted research questions for selected topic. The question(s) follows the descriptive and exploratory form.

This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeOperationalizing Variables
Listed the independent variable with the associated levels and the dependent variable. Also, summarized the way the independent variable and dependent variable will be measured and studied in the current study.

This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeGenerating Hypotheses
Drafted two (2) potential hypotheses that predicts the effect of an independent and dependent variable. It is written as a statement.

This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeVisualizing Your Variables
Created a design matrix respective to the selected independent and dependent variable(s).
