SIMULATION TASK # 1 ASSIGNMENT: INTRODUCTION TO SIMULATION

THIS ASSIGNMENT IS CRITICAL TO UNDERSTAND THE SIMULATION. COMPLETE EVEN IF LATE OR RISK TO NOT DO AS WELL FOR THE REMAINING OF THE WORK TO BE COMPLETED WITH THE SIMULATION.

This is your first assignment using the Business simulation called Vleader from SimuLearn. By now, it is assumed that you have purchased the simulation, created your account in SimuLearn

http://data.simulearn.net and installed the software onto your own computer. IF THIS IS NOT THE CASE, please email me ASAP! The goal is for you to get familiar with the simulation. Please open your software on your computer and also have available the slides as well as the simulation e-workbook, see material posted in Week 11 – Online Lecture. The Simulation task 1 to 4 assignments are graded on completion and effort rather than finding a correct answer or reaching a given scores in any of the 3 scenario.

Part A — Please log in Vleader and complete Intent-Based Communication Exercise 1 to 4 (How to use vleader, Getting work done, Accessing Hiden Ideas, Getting commitment). You must complete each exercise at least once (though you are free to complete them as many time as you wished to). I will get automatically notified as you complete those. Please read p. 13-15; 18-24; 26-42 simulation workbook VLeader Professional eText as well as slide posted to help you Complete Simulation Task #1. Please keep in mind the textbook and slides do nto reflect the small updates that has been made in the interface but the concepts remain the same.

Part B — After completing exercise 1 to 4 at least once. Answer (briefly and to the best of your ability) the questions on pages of the simulation workbook VLeader Professional eText.pdf:

1. p. 18 Q. 1 & 2 2. p. 21 Q. 1 to 5 3. p. 24 all the questions listed on that page. 4. p. 32 complete exercise practice the skill.

NOTE: You do not have to complete any of the scenario 1 to 3: Transforming relationships, Opportunities in conflicts and facilitating change, yet, however you are free to try working ahead on Scenario 1 if you wish to but this will be due with Task #2.
