–Identify the bill(s) by number, title, and sponsors names, political affiliations, and geographic areas of Colorado they represent. Tracking of the committees/subcommittees hearings on the bill(s) by date as well as actions, discussion, amendments, votes. What was discussed? Changed? –Advantages/disadvantages to consumers/families/education (particular groups) if the bill(s) is passed1] intended outcomes or impacts (what should happen?), 2] evident and unanticipated consequences (what may happen?), 3] the coherence/conflict with existing policies, programs, and laws (does it improve, change/alter, contradict, etc.?), 4] differences it may make/cause, and 5] why the bill may or may not have passed (if not should it be reintroduced next year)?

–Analysis of the worthiness of the billwill it serve a purpose? Why do we need it? How will it change the Colorado Revised Statutes (CRS)?  The case made for your stance is far more important than what your stance isjust because a bill is introduced does not make it worthy of passage.

–Cite no less than 6-8 references. The bill and committee hearing minutes do not count as sources, but each should be listed in the references. Use a variety of sources to understand and study the issue. Seek a balanced perspective of pros and cons from a variety of sources

–From your perspective, prepare at least one of the following letters relating a stance on the billmay be neutral, for, or against. The letter is to be knowledge based and convincing. It is to develop awareness if addressed to other than a legislator.
