History

During the 1700s, the English colonies along the coast of North America developed into some of the wealthiest and most populated European colonies in the Western Hemisphere.  British domination of the world trade provided the American colonies with goods from around the world and very little government oversight from England.  Following the British victory in the French and Indian War in 1763 this began to change, ultimately ending British control of the colonies and resulting in the independence of the United States of America in 1776.

Essay answers should be more than 300 words and provide at least three detailed specific examples of how the relationship between England and the colonies resulted in the American independence.  All examples should be dated between 1763-1776.
