Final Project:
Choose an entertainment company you are interested in and research it–this can be any company in the U.S. or the world.
Create a Power Point presentation on your selected company.
You will also be required to write up a one-page paper on your presentation.
Students have asked me if they had to visit a casino in person to prepare this project–no you do not.  You can prepare this by using the Internet. 
Students wanted to know what should be included in the Power Point Presentation.
Here are some suggestions for the Power Point, but you can set this up anyway you want:

Location?
How many employees?
How many departments?
Owners? Who owns the casino?
Department Heads?  How is the casino organized?  President, Vice-Presidents, Directors, etc.
If available, how much (salaries) do the above positions pay?
If available, total revenues/income for the property?
Website?  Quality of the website?
Table games?  Slots? Bingo? Sports book?  How Many?
Entertainment?  Does the casino have concerts?  If so, are they well-defined on their website?
Casino Marketing/Comps/Promotions?  What type of free items (food, beverages, rooms, etc.) do they offer their players?  Is this well-defined on their website?
If possible, interview a few employees on the phone at the casino (president, vice-president, HR, security director, for example), and ask them if they can share 5 or 10 minutes of their time for an interview.  Let them know that you are from MSU and you are in the casino management class.  Post the interview on your power point.
Food and Beverage?  Fine Dining?  Bars?  Buffets? Are these well-defined on their website?
Competition?  Does the casino have nearby competition?  For example, the Soaring Eagle’s nearest competition is about 1 to 2 hours away.  In Las Vegas, you can walk across the street to the nearest casino.
The above are suggestions you can use or you can organize this in any other way you desire.
