Summary: Trump is a fascist
Summary: Trump is not a fascist
Opinion paragraph #1
Opinion paragraph #2
Conclusion
You have already written 2, 4, and 5 or 6. Now add the remaining six paragraphs to the draft.
Introduction
Use a shocking incident from the events of January 6 for the opener.  Describe the incident in two or three sentences. Be specific about the date and place. Tie the incident to the shocking nature of the events in general. (The opener is linked to the background paragraph, where you go into more detail about the Jan. 6 events.)
Connect the Jan. 6 events to the widespread idea that Trump is a fascist or almost a fascist.
State the controversy. Attribute to Trump’s critics the idea that Trump is a fascist and state the main reason for this opinion. Contrast this argument with the main argument that Trump’s supporters make that Trump is not a fascist. (The statement of the controversy is linked to the Overview of the Debate paragraph, where you go into more detail about the arguments in the debate.)
Transition to your thesis; In the thesis statement, state whether or not you think Trump is a fascist and your main reason for thinking it. (The thesis statement is linked to the opinion paragraphs.)
Do not use “I.”
Opinion paragraphs
You back up your thesis in the two opinion paragraphs. Each opinion paragraph should start with a topic sentence stating one reason why you agree or disagree that Trump is or is not a fascist.
Make sure each paragraph discusses a separate, distinct reason for your opinion, rather than restates one reason.

Each opinion paragraph should refer to the arguments of your sources, but do not repeat your summaries in the opinion paragraphs. You must use your sources to make your point, but you must make a point, not repeat what you have already summarized.

Do not use I.
