Crisis Communication

1. First read the John Poulakos article;
2. After you read the Poulakos article, select a Greek/rhetorical term (e.g. kairos, logos, to prepon, to dynaton, pistis, terpsis, techne etc.) or a concept that you encounter in it (e.g. the notion of urgency, art, poetry, aesthetics, universals, essentials/non-essentials, the contingent, etc.) that interests you or connects to crisis as you currently understand the term “crisis.”
3. THEN READ: (Journal Article) Bitzer, Lloyd F. The Rhetorical Situation. Philosophy & Rhetoric 1 (1968): 1-14.  ATTACHED BELOW
4. After selecting your term or concept in the Poulakos reading, I then want you to connect it to a term/concept you read in one of the other 2 articles by Bitzer I want you to discuss the connections you see between the terms/concepts in the two articles. Or how the terms/concepts from the Poulakos article are or could be relevant to the term/concept from the other article you choose.
5. Write a few paragraphs about how you see these terms/concepts as being relevant to crisis or crisis situations as you understand the term “crisis” so far.
