The reflection paper should not simply be a summary list of what happened. I am most interested in your thoughts. Share surprising ideas or topics from the book and how themes within the book reflect ideas and concepts weve covered in the course. Some ideas for reflection may be US race relations, labor relations, popular vs. evidence-based history, historical memory (and forgetting history happened), capitalism and industry in the West, families and immigration history, among others.

Responses should include evidence of critical thinking on the novel, additional information from outside research (with appropriate links or sources cited in proper format), or other information that shows me you spent some time reading and considering the information in the book.
