Business

Hi! I used you for my last group project. I have another business proposal I need to do and I have the first two questions again!
Acme Manufacturing, a small, manufacturing company with roughly 60 employees, is undergoing a change in leadership. Bud Acme started the company 45 years ago and has been heavily involved with the day to day operations ever since. Bud has decided to retire (for good this time) and pass the company down to his son Mack, and daughter Evelyn. Mack and Evelyn (M&E) both want to bring the day to day operations into the 21st century and utilize technology to make things more efficient. Bud was never a “tech guy”, in fact he didn’t trust it, so outside of production equipment, technology was never utilized for business support processes.

Based on your initial work with Acme Manufacturing, M&E have decided to bring you back to help them implement a new Content Management System (CMS) for the company. They have some ideas about what this system will accomplish, but need your help to fully realize and implement it. This new CMS will be used by both internal employees and external customers. M&E have given you a 6 month timeline to work with. Below are the items you will need to address in your next report to M&E on implementing a new CMS:

These are the two Im responsible for
(((((1. Identify what a CMS is and who should be the project sponsor (Links to an external site.) from Acme and why.
2. Identify the software development methodology you will follow to implement the new CMS and why you chose it. Give examples of at least 2 other companies who use that same methodology.
Identify and explain the SDLC and provide a summary of what will occur with/at Acme during each phase.))))))))
Identify 3 project milestones (including dates) along with a summary about each one.
Create a project planning chart/diagram (https://www.officetimeline.com/ (Links to an external site.)) to visualize the steps of the SDLC, and milestones you identified, of the project. Include this diagram/chart in your report.
Tips for a successful report & a good grade:

Review the grading rubric before writing your report! Then, as a team, review the rubric after writing your report to ensure you covered everything properly and within guidelines.
Review this blog post to get a general idea about How to Write a Business Proposal (Links to an external site.). NOTE – you do not need to include a table of contents with this report but if you choose to do so, put it on the same page as your executive summary. This way you won’t lose a page to the table of contents.
You will be using MLA source citing guidelines but your report should be more professional style and less academic style.
Use the templates in MS Word to ensure you keep your formatting consistent. You can search them here.
Make sure to identify that the report was written by you (all team members) and your company (named by your team)
Use the Internet to research examples of companies who are currently utilizing similar information systems to help lend validity to your report. Make sure to cite your sources in MLA format with a works cited page as the last page of your report. Use this page for guidelines. (Links to an external site.)
Refer back through chapters 13 to 19 of the text book as these are the concepts you will need to focus on for this report.
You report should come in at no more than 10 pages, double spaced, including title page and works cited page.
Make sure to save your document as a PDF file for upload to this assignment
You are grouped for this project in Canvas so only 1 member has to submit the midterm. Make sure you have included all of your team member names in the document.
