During our discussions one of you suggested that the printing press intensifies the debate about the meaning of truth. Based on our course readings so far, in what ways would you say the debate about truth shifts with each technological moment we have studied and the one we are experiencing? Suggestion: You may problematize the concept of truth.

Your essay should reflect that you have taken this course. It is not meant to be a display of erudition, but it is meant as a testament of your thoughtful engagement with course materials. You should draw on course readings, discussions and presentations. You are not required to refer to outside sources, but may do so if you wish. However, try to keep these outside references to a minimum, and try to remain as close to the assigned readings as possible.

Make sure your essay has an overarching structure and be explicit about it. Try to write as clearly as possible, avoiding vague statements and phrasings that requires your reader to guess what you mean. Using an iterative approach to writing in which you write a draft, then an outline and then re-draft again, can help you improve the flow and substance of your paper.
