Read Chapter 11 of your text, watch the supplementary video on Dubois & Racial Conflict to answer the following questions:
1. Before watching this video, had you heard of DuBois? Briefly describe what you learned about W.E.B. Dubois from watching the video.  Explain his concept of double-consciousness.

Please write an essay telling about yourself and your relationship to, and feelings about, the American government.

In the first two or three paragraphs please discuss who you are.
Describe those things about you which you feel are important
(for example, your family, ethnicity, race, age, gender, religion,

In this one talk about family, race and also religion, religion is Muslim.

Having done that, please discuss how who you are affects how you relate to the American government.

How does the government interact with you and those like you and attempt to respond to (or ignore) your needs?
