Any (must be connected to the “Learning power” in Rereading America

Background:
For the past few weeks we have been reading about the myths and realities of education and schooling. We have read many different articles and essays whose authors explore the purpose and challenges surrounding education. We are also well into Mission High where Kristina Rizga is investigating the myths and realities of educational reform and standardized testing.

Your Task:
In an 8-10 page essay, choose a topic of your own to explore in depth. This topic must be connected to the unit Learning Power in Rereading America. As with the previous essays, make sure you have a debatable thesis-driven discussion and that you are fully developing a specific focus and getting some depth in this essay.

Notes to Consider:
You should narrow your focus in this paper.
You must incorporate at least 6 secondary sources
Your thesis should be argument based and your position should be clear.
Be sure to focus on a specific level of education. For example, don’t cover high school and college in the same essay as there are separate and distinct issues in the scope of education and learning that happens.
