This assignment involves watching a movie and analyzing its portrayal of disability, highlighting its impact on the development of a character. The primary goal of this paper is to demonstrate your academic understanding of disability and development in the context of the film. The secondary goal is to assess the overall accuracy of the portrayal.
Your claim (or thesis) should be a statement in which you interpret how the disability has impacted the character in question.  This interpretation should ultimately be grounded in academic research applied to the reported details in the film. Before the end of the paper, you should also defend your position on the films accuracy using your research as support.
This paper should be idea-driven; details from the film should be used in support of your position, but not summarized without purpose or academic context.
